Established in 2004, this scholarship has the following eligibility criteria: the recipient must be full-time undergraduate or graduate domestic student, accepted to Eastern Illinois University, and in good academic standing. Preference will be given to School of Technology majors. The recipient must be planning to study abroad in any European country with attendant approval tendered to the Study Abroad Office prior to the awarding of the scholarship; all study credits must be applicable to the student's degree program. The recipient must have an overall 2.75 GPA, approval of the departmental academic advisor, and meet other criteria established by the Study Abroad Office. Upon returning to the United States of America, the recipient may be asked to speak to the International Forum program regarding the Study Abroad experience. The recipient may be eligible to apply for, and receive, the award again provided she/he continues to meet the stated criteria. The award shall be payable after the student has traveled to and enrolled at a University in Europe and shall be payable to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient attending Eastern Illinois University. Deadlines to apply are as follows: October 2, 2015 for SP16 or Winter 16 abroad; December 4, 2015 for spring break 16 abroad; January 29, 2016 for Faculty Led SU16 abroad; March 4, 2016 for independent SU16 and FA16 abroad.
