The purpose of this forum is to create conversations among EIU teacher educators, schools, and community stakeholders to look at the two factors leading to the teacher shortage - the smaller number of people going into teaching and the large number dropping out of teaching. Please share this information with those who are interested in developing long term collaborations between rural school and their communities (educators, community foundations, businesses, non-profit organizations, journalists, community and political leaders, etc).
