PLS 1153 - American Government and the Constitution - focus on background and basics of the Constitution and US Gov, plus civil rights, civil liberties, and important legal cases; care is given to also include information important to future educators and journalists

PLS 2703 - Introduction to Public Policy - an exploration of various policies areas in the field and important contemporary issues; attention given to the legal aspects and ramifications of poor or inequitable policies; includes a service learning component for real-world experience in the field

PLS 3303 - European Politics and Government - explores the politics of Europe immediately prior to WWI through the modern era; attention is given to both Western Europe (the EU) and Eastern Europe (much of the former Soviet bloc), as well as US interactions and involvement with these states

PLS 4893 - Budgeting - focus on public and nonprofit budgeting for management, compliance, and fraud prevention; includes essential knowledge for those interested in managing an entity, a department, or their own business/non-profit; virtual guest speakers from the field engage in Q&A sessions

PLS 5054 - Research Methods in Public Administration and Policy - focus on the basics of writing a graduate-level research paper in Political Science; includes beginner/intermediate lessons on data analysis with step-by-step videos

PLS 5153 - Cities, Politics, and Urban Policies - covers the basics of city/urban management, planning, and finances before turning to important city/urban policy issues like minority politics, city power players, local educational, criminal justice and health policies, gentrification, emergency policies, environmental issues, greening of cities, branding/marketing of cities, etc.
