Office 365 ProPlus allows you to use the latest version of Microsoft Office on up to 5 personal devices such as Windows computers, Mac computers, or tablets and smartphones.
Office 365 ProPlus is available at no cost for current students and employees of Eastern Illinois University. Microsoft offers this through a program called "Office 365 Education", an evolution of their previous "Student Advantage" program. ITS will attempt to facilitate its use for as long as Microsoft offers the program.
ITS is only able to provide support for Office 365 ProPlus with downloading and signing in to activate the software. View the Office 365 ProPlus section of our Self Help articles for answers to common questions about Office 365 ProPlus.
CATS provides Training Services for Students which covers using the popular Microsoft Office products. Alternatively, for installation and usage issues, Microsoft provides Office support through their website athttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
EIU computers should already have Microsoft Office installed. Office 365 ProPlus should not be installed on EIU-owned computers. If an EIU-owned computer needs Office installed or updated, please contact Campus Technology Support at (217)581-4357 or submit a Support Request form.
Office 365 ProPlus requires Windows 7 (or newer) or Mac OS X 10.5.8 (or newer). It is not compatible with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
To download Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, current students and employees may follow these steps:
You must uninstall any previous versions of Microsoft Office or trial versions of Office 365 before attempting to install Office 365 ProPlus.
