Office 365 ProPlus is available at no cost for current students and employees of Eastern Illinois University. Microsoft offers this through a program they have called "Office 365 Education." EIU will attempt to facilitate its use as long as Microsoft offers the program.
ITS is only able to provide support for Office 365 ProPlus with downloading and signing in to activate the software. CATS provides Training Services which covers the popular Microsoft Office products related to teaching and using Microsoft in the classroom. Alternatively, Microsoft will have to be consulted for installation and usage issues. Microsoft provides Office support through their website at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
Office 365 ProPlus allows you to use the latest version of Office on up to 5 personal devices such as Windows computers, Mac computers, or tablets and smartphones. EIU computers should already have Microsoft Office installed. Office 365 ProPlus should not be installed on EIU-owned computers. If an EIU-owned computer needs Office installed or updated, please contact Campus Technology Support at (217)581-4357 or submit a Support Request form.
