Here is a partial list of the type of careers our alumni build. 

Dan Woike ('06) is a sports reporter for the Orange County Register, where he covers the Los Angeles Clippers. He's also frequent contributor to the ‘ROME’ TV show on CBS Sports Network.

Chris Boghossian (‘92) is weekend sports editor for the Chicago Tribune, where he oversees weekend coverage of professional, amateur and prep sports.

Matt Daniels (‘08) is the sports editor at the News-Gazette in Champaign.

Dion Martorano (‘11) is a sports reporter, photographer and editor for the Journal & Topics Newspapers located in Des Plaines, where he covers high school athletics and other local sports for the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.

Alex McNamee ('13) is a reporter for the Decatur Herald & Review, where he covers prep sports of up to 60 central Illinois high schools. He also writes and edits an entertainment blog.

Scott Richey (’08) is a reporter for the News-Gazette in Champaign, where he covers University of Illinois athletics, including volleyball, soccer, women's basketball and baseball.

Kristin (Rojek) Sharp ('02) is the sports editor for Kendall County Record Newspapers, where she won a National Newspaper Association award in 2010 as well as many other Illinois Press Association and Northern Illinois Newspaper Association awards.

John Twork (‘10) is an assistant director for athletic communications for Illinois State, where he serves as the primary media contact for several teams, publicizes athletics through strategic communications and coordinates media requests.

Joe Waltasti ( ‘07) is the assistant director of athletics communications for the University of Oregon, where he is the primary media contact for women's basketball, softball and the O Heroes community service program. He works extensively with the Pac-12 Networks and Oregon's other broadcast partners.
