Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Civil Service position of Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar.  The Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator works under the direction of the Interim Assistant Director.  This position provides support for student-athlete eligibility, curriculum management, the degree audit system, coding within the student information system, maintaining academic records, and customer service support while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of academic records.  Employees at this level represent the University to students and offices across campus and must provide a high level of customer service.

The Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator will direct and coordinate functions related to the following:

The person in this position must possess high integrity, be able to interpret applicable policy, make independent decisions and judgments, be knowledgeable of a wide array of academic policies and regulations, possess technical and problem-solving skills, and be a team player. The person in this position must be prepared to lead work groups and initiatives to improve operations and drive efficiencies.  This positon interacts with current students, former students, and returning students as well as faculty and staff across campus.  

The Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Management, guided by five core values, seeks candidates that identify with these core values.

Required qualifications for this position are:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the categories below:
    1. Coursework in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      1. 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      2. 60 semester hours or an Associate’s Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)
      3. 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
      4. 120 semester hours or a Bachelor’s degree equals three (3) years (36 months)
      5. a Master’s degree equals four (4) years (48 months)
    2. Work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.
  3. One (1) year (12 months) of supervisory or administrative experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.

The Civil Service Examination for this classification is a credentials assessment.  No participation other than the submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants.
