Research & Creative Interests

Dr. Hendrickson's research interests are broadly in the areas of medical sociology and environmental sociology.  Within the area of medical sociology Dr. Hendrickson's specific interests focus on the social and economic aspects of complementary and alternative medicine in the United States and issues surrounding the social determinants of health.  HIs other specific area of research, the sociodemographics of environmental concern, emerged out of his long-standing interest in the sociological study of the environment and environmental problems.
