    Requirements:

    Faculty Development and Innovation Center Graduate Assistant (GA). Start Jan. 2019. Preferred commitment through May 2020 including Summer 2019. Seeking GA to staff Center and to assist in coordinating programming including workshops and faculty mentoring and teaching groups; assisting with Faculty Development Advisory Committee; maintaining website; and designing and distributing promotional materials. Preferred background: communication skills (email, Office 365), skills appropriate to establishing, maintaining, and updating web, lms (d2l), registration sites, and spreadsheets. Video editing skills, creative (artistic) aptitude, and willingness to work with a team are plusses. Submit applications to Dr. Newton Key, Director of FDIC (fdic@eiu.edu). Complete the online GA application from the Graduate School, and email (a) your current resume and (b) two letters of reference. Explain why you are interested in Faculty Development in a brief cover letter. Review of applications will begin 26 November and continue until positions are filled

    Requirements:

    Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.25 GPA at time of application and hiring. The purpose of the Night Assistant position is to serve as an "extra set of eyes and ears" in the residence hall common areas from 12am-4am assisting residents, enforcing policy, and ensuring the building is secure. NA's are expected to work at least two nights during the week (Sunday-Thursday) and approximately four weekend nights per month (Friday-Saturday).


    Other Notes:

    Necessary skills to be productive at this type of position are the ability to confidently confront situations, take instructions as needed, and assist residents with questions or concerns. When you submit a completed application, you are placed in the "candidate pool" along with other candidates applying for the position. Applications will be reviewed as positions become available.
