COVID-19 EMERGENCY PAID SICK LEAVE ACT
This form is currently inactive.
Mandatory Paid Leave Ends with the Expiration of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
Under FFCRA, EIU was required to provide employees with up to 2 weeks of paid sick leave for COVID-19 related illnesses. With the expiration of the FFCRA on December 31, 2020, employees will be required to use their own personal leave balances for any illness relating to COVID-19.
Employees who have been mandated by the Illinois Department of Public Health to isolate/quarantine should report such time as sick leave and/or vacation leave on their timesheets/leave reports. The expiration of the Act does not interfere with an employee's obligation to continue to follow/quarantine orders issued by the IDPH.
