Accountant I |
Three years’ work experience and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field OR: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field including 12 semester hours in accounting OR: Any combination of experience and education totaling three years (60 semester hours =18 months; 90 semester hours =24 months; a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (120 semester hours) = three years). Candidates should be self-starters; possess a positive attitude; have excellent customer service skills; and have excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail. Responsibilities include managing University bank accounts, preparing journal entries, reviewing grant budgets, preparing grant financial reports, assisting in annual audits, and preparing financial schedules and reports as requested. Accounting Officer |
The qualified candidate must have one or a combination totaling two years from the categories below:
This position is in the Procurement Department and is responsible for processing payments of all invoices, travel reimbursements and non-personal services made by the Accounts Payable Department. Starting pay is $13.13/hour. |
Assistant Payroll Manager |
Possession of credential requirements listed for the Payroll Specialist III AND: Two years of work experience performing duties comparable to those listed in the Payroll Specialist III (Level IV). OR: A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related curriculum. OR: Any combination of training and experience totaling three years. This is a fast-paced office that processes monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for faculty, staff, and students. This position will supervise the Payroll Staff and manage the workload to ensure accurate and timely processing; research discrepancies and/or customer issues; and stay informed on new legislation that impacts payroll, implementing changes as needed. Preferred candidates should be analytical, able to work efficiently, and have good communication skills. |
Collection Specialist |
The qualified candidate must meet the following requirements:
Responsibilities include: pursuing collection efforts on delinquent student accounts, Federal Perkins loans and institutional loans; assisting current students and their families with questions or issues related to their accounts; and establishing payment arrangements for current students. The ability to communicate accurately and concisely both verbally and in writing, a willingness to learn, and excellent customer service skills are a must for this position. |
Payroll Specialist |

Administrative Aide to the Vice President of Business Affairs |
Qualified candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Due to the nature of this position, demonstrated experience with policies and procedures related to risk management and liability including automotive insurance policies, guidelines and claim processing is required. This position will assist the Vice President in matters related to the VPBA area. The Administrative Aide will handle campus insurance issues such as obtaining appropriate liability insurance for events held on campus, ensuring that campus vehicles are insured and in compliance with university policies, request certificates of insurance, and assist with claims processing and reporting. This person is responsible for the VP’s schedule and interacts with multiple campus departments. This position will provide support across all Human Resource areas. Duties will include, but not limited to, the supervision of the Benefits Department; evaluating for areas of improvement, ensuring processes and policies are current and relevant, and helps represent Human Resources on various campus or external committees. This person will also oversee Workers Compensation and FMLA; be able to process and interpret data for reporting purposes, and act as the main contact for external entities in regards to insurance, retirement and other benefits. The Civil Service examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than submission of application materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. Minimum starting salary is $3,871.00/month, but salary shall be commensurate with experience. |
