Interviews and Primary Source Sharing at EIU
(March 6, 2010) Former Railway Post Office Clerks, EIU faculty and students gathered in Buzzard Auditorium to create this project. The day included interviews, explanation and demonstration of primary sources and sharing. Everyone involved had a wonderful time and learned something new. The students were amazed when the clerks recognized the name of each hometown and could give the location of the community.
(May 2, 2010) Buzzard Auditorium was the site of the premiere of Constant Motion: The Job of Railway Post Office Clerks. The audience included the Constant Motion clerks and their families, as well other clerks, EIU faculty, staff, students and administration, community members and others interested in the history of the RPO.
