How to move messages received in D2L to the Sent Folder

This tutorial provides step-by-step directions for moving email received in D2L to the sent folder so the email message will be retained in D2L email after the D2L email conversion in May 2022.  This process must be completed before the conversion.


To move messages received in D2L to the Sent Folder:

  1. Log in to D2L and select "Email" on the top navbar.

  2. Select the "Inbox" from the folder list in the left navigation or select the folder where the email message is located if you have sub-folders.

  3. Select the check box to the left of the email message or messages you want to move or select the checkbox to the left of Subject to select ALL messages on that page.

  4. Select the down arrow to the right of "Move To" then select "Sent Mail" from the drop-down list.

  5. The selected message(s) will automatically move to the Sent folder.  To verify the message was moved, select the "Sent Mail" folder from the folder list in the left navigation.
