COVID-19 Free Printing Initiative

As a result of many courses being conducted online this semester, our students will be required to print more class resources. To help meet these needs, black and white printing will be free at select on-campus locations.

Who is eligible for free B&W printing?

All EIU students registered for courses in FA2020 or Spring 2021 can utilize free B&W printing in designated labs.

What locations offer free B&W printing?

Booth Library - All Public Computers

  • Library Technology Services Lab (4th Floor South - Fishbowl and scanning stations)
  • Research Help Lab (3rd/Main Floor North)
  • Ballenger Teachers Center (3rd/Main Floor Northeast)

Gregg Technology Center

  • 2020 ā€œUā€, Open Lab & 2040, GTC Classroom

Lumpkin School of Business

  • 1020 Lab, (basement/lowest level)

Buzzard Hall

  • 1430 Lab/TEC
  • 1440, ITC Lab

How long will free B&W printing be offered?

Free printing will be offered during the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.

Is color printing free?

No. Only printing costs for B&W are being waived.

How is free printing being funded?

The Governor's Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER) is funding this initiative. More information can be found at the IBHE website.
