Going to Court: How Do We Meet and Greet the Royals? Tuesday, March 3, 2020, 12:30—2:30 PM at 1220 Booth Library (the Center for Student Innovation).
The Premodern Global Studies Minor invites students, faculty, and the interested public to a workshop and celebration as part of a Premodern Global Studies Day on Royal Courts. At 12:30 a light lunch (sandwiches and drinks provided) is followed at 1:00 pm by Student/Faculty Panel on Court Studies; at 1:30 pm a courtly behavior demonstration is introduced by Dr. Robert Bucholz, Loyola University Chicago. And at 2:00 pm (in the Library Atrium), Richard Rossi and the Camerata Singers provide a demonstration of early court music. Open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. Co-sponsored by the Premodern Global Studies Minor @ EIU, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the English and History Departments.
