On the last Tuesday of each month, 6pm, local birdwatchers and bird enthusiasts convene to celebrate their shared passion and the learn from one another. The Bird Club – a member-led group – holds the monthly meetings at the Douglas-Hart Nature Center. Members are highly varied, from those with a budding interest in birds at their feeders, to those with an arsenal of knowledge and experience. Each meeting features a presentation by a member or guest speaker, and provides an opportunity for each member to share their recent sightings and bird questions. Field trips and group bird-watching opportunities arise throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to join this flock, and more information can be found at www.dhnature.org/bird-club or by calling the Douglas-Hart Nature Center at 217-235-4644.Categories: Academy of Lifelong Learning | Alumni | Community | Current Students | Faculty | Lectures/Seminars | Prospective Students | School of Extended Learning
