Parish Nursing has evolved since the 1980’s to Faith Community Nursing. It involves a registered nurse blending their knowledge of health with their own spiritual beliefs.
Did you know that over 500 nurses in central Illinois have completed the training to bring health ministry to their own congregation?
Faith Roberts, RN, MSN is the Executive Director Magnet, Pathway, Professional Practice and Parish Nursing at Carle Foundation Hospital and Carle Physician Group, Urbana, IL.
The exhibit and all programs are free and open to the public. For more information on the exhibit, visit https://library.eiu.edu/exhibits/forallthepeople/.

Arts in the Cemetery |
Kevin and Paul Baumann, brothers, are very knowledgeable about local cemeteries and have visited many other cemeteries in their travels internationally. They will start the day with a PowerPoint presentation on Tombstone Art. In the afternoon, Roselawn-Mound Cemetery and Old City Cemetery will be toured, with Paul and Kevin as guides. One just might hear bagpipes in the background and see re-enactments of moments in the life of pioneers who lived long ago. In case of rain, we will meet back in the library (after lunch on your own) for afternoon stories of art in the lives of those who lived here in Coles County long ago.
This event offered through a collaboration of: Coles County Arts Council, Academy of Lifelong Learning, Coles County Historical Society and Coles County Genealogical Society
Registration required by 9/23 at 581-5114. $10 per person. 16 and under N/C.
