College of DuPage - Table Visit |
A representative from the BGS program will be visiting the college to discuss options for students who are interested in completing a bachelor’s degree. The program is ideal for adults who work full-time, serve as caregivers, raise families, and for whom a traditional degree program does not meet their needs given a busy life.
Visit the EIU table located in the cafeteria, for answers to questions about admission and transfer credit requirements. Courses are offered online, and face-to-face at various locations in the Chicagoland area.

Final Fridays @4pm |
What is Final Fridays?
Final Fridays provides an informal opportunity to hear a few Quality Speakers™ from EIU speak about their exciting projects and creative accomplishments in a quick and accessible way: 10 minutes maximum for each speaker. We gather informally starting @ 4pm, and after some time to socialize, we enjoy listening our Quality Speakers™. By 5:30 or so, we’ve wrapped up, but folks are invited to stay to continue the conversation.
Who is speaking this month?
Robin Murray will try to explain how it’s possible that she’s published six books with academic presses inside a decade. David K. Smith will outline for us the exciting events EIU has in store for the commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the beginnings of the North Atlantic Slave Trade. Grace Wilken will illuminate her collaborative (and award-winning!) project to introduce composting on EIU’s campus.
Who is welcome?
Anyone curious about EIU. While we love to see EIU’s faculty and administrative types, we especially welcome folks from the community who would just like to get to know what’s happening on EIU’s campus.
