Burl Ives and The Studio |
We all know of Burl Ives, the famed singer and actor born just south of Charleston in Jasper County, Il. Join us to hear stories from friends that knew him and his wife, Dorothy, and worked to get the Burl Ives Studio at EIU built. Why was it built by the Physical Plant staff? Why was the studio for visual artists named for a musical artist? Learn another side of this amazing personality who began his life in central Illinois. Parking available around studio with parking pass, or get visitor pass from EIU Police Dept., 7th and Grant.

'Alt TV' Episode 13 Premiere |
The premiere of “Alt TV” Episode 13 happens this Thursday (11/29) at 7 p.m. in Buzzard Auditorium. This is the only screening of the episode before it hits the airwaves on Your 13 some time in March.
This episode represents a turning point for “Alt TV” as it was shot largely live to tape at WEIU studios. The style mirrors that of “Saturday Night Live,” with a combination of clever sketches and digital shorts. The run time is a lean 35 minutes, the rating is TV-PG(ish), and there is no admission charge to attend.
Come out and support EIU's television and video producers!

About Alt TV: Since 2012, Alt TV has existed as a space for EIU students interested in developing as television and film producers. Each semester this Registered Student Organization writes and produces an episode of original television. All students, faculty, and community members are welcome to join.
