The Underworld has had much more influence in American life than is widely known. The Mafia itself had varying ties to the Presidencies of FDR, Truman, Kennedy, Nixon, and Reagan—while regional Underworld Texas and Arkansas organizations influenced LBJ and Clinton. We will discuss the specifics of all these connections over three sessions. You will never forget this verified, obscure information. Free and open to the public. Register early: maximum 12.

This 45 min. presentation will provide information about the evidence-based Respecting Choices, First Steps Advanced Care Planning Program.  When done well, advance care planning conversations have the power to promote quality care and individual/patient and family satisfaction with their care.  Learning about this program will help the learner to know where to find the support needed to have open communication regarding their illness progression and participation in shared decision making.  It helps the individual to take and maintain control over the health care decisions that influence their goals, values and beliefs. Free and open to the public - register here or call 581-5114. https://sce.eiu.edu/wconnect/CourseStatus.awp?&course=FA18ALRESPEC
