Friday, 30 March, 2012 @ 11:30 AM - 01:00 PM | Cost:Free
Faculty Development's next Let's Talk Teaching brown-bag session will take place Friday, March 30, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Arcola-Tuscola Room of the MLK Jr. Union.
The topic Learning that Lasts: Enduring Concepts and Transferable Skills will be facilitated by Dr. Terri Fredrick (English) and Dr. Kai Hung (Biological Sciences).
This Let’s Talk Teaching session will be a chance for faculty to come together to talk about teaching strategies that can help our students retain what they learn from each class and to be able to apply that knowledge in various contexts. Participants will share their own experience and discuss what teaching strategies can be attempted to address these issues. There will be tables to eat your lunch on and plenty of time for discussion. Cosponsored by the Center for the Humanities.
