COVID Testing |
EIU has partnered with the Illinois Department of Public Health to offer COVID tests for students, faculty, staff, annuitants, and the local community. Learn more at go.eiu.edu/covidtestDrive-thru and walk-up options will be available.-Walk-up testing will be conducted inside the Student Rec Center on Court 5. Enter at the northwest doors of the Rec Center (not the main Rec Center doors). Walk-up lines will be socially distanced.
-Drive-thru testing will be conducted outside the south end of the Fieldhouse. Cars are asked to enter the J Lot off Grant Avenue, follow the queue directions, travel south on the lane between the Fieldhouse and O’Brien Field, turn the corner heading east, and continue to the south entrance of the Fieldhouse. After testing, cars will continue east past Lantz Arena and exit onto Fourth Street.There is no cost for COVID testing at the Jan. 12 clinic dates.Please wear a mask! EIU’s masking policy means all individuals will be expected to appropriately wear clean cloth or disposable face masks while on campus. -An ink pen to write on your test vial.
-EIU Students: Please provide your LOCAL (school) address to the testing staff.
-Your insurance card, if you have one.
-A smart phone to register for My Chart. Click here to preregister: go.eiu.edu/IDPHMobileReg. My Chart will allow you to receive your results faster. A member of the IDPH testing team will help you register for My Chart while you are waiting for your test if you are not able to preregister. -

If you have an interest in writing and would like to join a group of friendly, creative people who share that interest, check out the Past~Forward Memoir Writers. We welcome people of all ages and skill levels, whether a beginner, experienced writer or anywhere in between.
These events are FREE and open to the public! No registration required.
About the Group…
· We’re still here! COVID -19 has not dulled our interest in writing. In fact, it has given us more time to write, at home.
· Our meetings will continue on ZOOM for the time being, although we hope we will be able to resume in-person meetings later in the year. Both groups welcome new members who have an interest in writing and developing their skill levels.

How do I join a meeting using a Zoom invitation? Do I need all that information? I don't know a thing about it! If this describes you, join us for this session to get you started using Zoom to meet with family, join a group meeting, or watch a presentation. You will need a computer or smart phone with internet and an email account to receive the instructions. We will send you very clear steps to access our session and surprise you with how quickly you will be comfortable.
