The following resources are available through EIU for students enrolled in the BSB Program.
After you are admitted to Eastern Illinois University as a Business Administration major, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor. You will always contact the same advisor for assistance and will work with that advisor until you graduate.
You can find your advisor’s name by logging into PAWS. Click on the Student tab, then “Student Records” and then “View Student Information”.
EIU uses a textbook rental system. Textbooks will be delivered to you on the first night of each class or mailed to you for online classes. At the end of the semester, you will receive instructions on returning the textbooks. Your fees include the textbook rental fee.
EIU’s School of Continuing Education
EIU’s School of Continuing Education (SCE) co-sponsors most of EIU’s classes at Parkland and online. Check out SCE’s website for useful information including notices of class cancellations or modifications due to weather: http://www.eiu.edu/adulted/
PAWS is the student online system that helps you keep track of your academic life. Your PAWS account allows you to complete important tasks (like registering for classes) and provides access to lots of information including:
New students: To access PAWS, you will need your EIU Net ID and Net Password. This information is available in your MyEIU portal.
EIU and the School of Business will send important information to you through your EIU Email Account. Please set up your email account and check it regularly!
See www.eiu.edu/panthermail/ for further information.
Desire2Learn (D2L) is a web-based system that is used for delivery of online classes and to provide tools and information for traditionally delivered classes. If the instructor of any of your classes uses D2L, you will need to become familiar with the system. To access Desire2Learn, click on the "d2l" link on the University Home Page or go to: www.eiu.edu/d2l/
