The Center for Student Innovation offers a range of equipment and technologies available for use by all members of the EIU community.
An overview of our equipment details and how to access it are listed below by area of interest. If you have further questions, please email email@example.com. CSI Staff are also available to provide general introductions to the equipment and suggestions for further self-education upon request.

The CSI offers the following 3D equipment for use by students, faculty, and staff.
You are strongly encouraged to attend a 3D Printing 101 session to learn about using the printers in the CSI space. See dates and times here.

The CSI's Podcasting Studio includes the following equipment for use by students, faculty, and staff.
The Rodecaster Pro podcasting stations and accompanying equipment can easily be used to create high-quality audio for podcasting and other purposes. They can be used with an SD card and/or laptop.
Laptops loaded with Audacity audio editing software are also available for use in the podcasting studio, and our Surface PC includes access to Adobe's audio editing software, Audition. Staff are available for assistance and training on request.
We regularly host a Podcasting 101 workshop that will introduce you to our equipment as well as some tips for getting started. See dates and times here.
The podcasting studio can be reserved through the form on our Reservations page. You are also welcome to walk in and use the studio during normal CSI hours if it is available and no one is using the classroom space. Just talk to a staff member at the desk and they will help you get set up.
The CSI's Virtual Reality Studio includes a VIVE Pro 2 unit connected to a Trident X Plus computer optimized for virtual reality and 3D modeling.
The VR studio can be reserved through the form on our Reservations page. You are also welcome to walk in and use the studio during normal CSI hours if it is available and no one is using the classroom space. Just talk to a staff member at the desk and they will help you get set up.
The Cricut Explore Air 2 can be used to cut and etch designs on a variety of materials. Some general materials, such as posterboard, are available in limited quantities to patrons free of charge. Please bring your own materials if you will be cutting many copies of the same design, or if you require materials that we do not have.
Patrons are encouraged to download Cricut Design Space to their personal laptop or tablet; your device can then be connected to the CSI Cricut to print. We also have laptops available with Cricut Design Space pre-installed.
The Cricut can be reserved through the form on our Reservations page. You are also welcome to use the Cricut during normal CSI hours if no one is using the classroom space. Just talk to a staff member at the desk and they will help you get set up.
