Eastern's application is accessible from our website, or we can mail a paper application if preferred. Anyone who previously attended Eastern will not be required to pay the $30 application fee, if they matriculated, as that is a one-time fee. Returning students can mark the fee waiver on the last screen.
In addition to the application, the BGS office will need official transcripts from all the colleges and universities you attended.
Is this an accredited program?
Yes. It is accredited by the North Central Association of the Commission on Higher Learning.
What are the requirements for admission?
An applicant must be a mature adult. It is recommended that a prospective student have 60 hours of earned college credit at the time of application.

What can I do with a BA degree in General Studies?
You will be earning a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. This opens doors for positions that require a bachelor's degree. During your coursework, you will have the opportunity to examine your skills and interests and be guided on how to promote yourself. Our students work in many areas including business, social services and health care.
Many of our graduates continue their education to earn a master's and even doctoral degrees.
How can I complete the requirements?
Classes are offered at several locations in Illinois including Charleston, Champaign, Schaumburg, River Grove and Grayslake. You can also complete your courses online.
