January 22- 24 Digital submission of works and application
January 29 Jurors select exhibition and designate awards
February 2, 4 p.m. List of works accepted for exhibition posted at Art Office- DFAC
February 12 — 14 Delivery of selected artworks
February 15 — 23 Exhibition installed at TAC
February 24 Exhibition opens
February 25 Public reception at TAC- Atrium, 2-4 p.m.
Award presentation at 2:30 p.m.
April 1 Exhibition closes
April 4- 5 Student pick up exhibited work at TAC, 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
After April 6 Unclaimed entries disposed of at discretion of TAC
Open to any EIU student who is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and has enrolled in at least one studio art course. All works must be original and completed within the last two years at EIU under art faculty guidance, and not previously exhibited at the Tarble Arts Center

2D and 3D Foundations
Works completed in 2D and 3D design classes and incorporate the basic principles, elements, and concepts of shapes, forms and structures.
Works completed in Drawing I and II classes and have been created using any drawing media on paper or similar material.
Includes both functional and sculptural ceramics.
Digital Art- Imaging/Video/Sound (not Graphic Design)
Works that were created on the digital platform, and are intended to be printed and/or mounted; works that include any type of video that were created from digital or film methods; video + sound works within a digital format, interactive electronic works, or any combination of the above
Works completed in upper level drawing classes using any drawing media on paper or or other materials as mixed media
Graphic Design — Interactive/Motion
Time-based graphic design projects, such as motion graphics, animation, and video that utilize type and/or space and image; website or interactive design
Graphic Design — Visual Communications
Works that engage in visual communication and problem solving through the use of type, and/or space and image, and are intended as design for print and three-dimensional applications; posters, book design, brochure design, ad design, branding design, etc.;
three-dimensional applications that include: packaging design, environmental graphics, exhibit design, signage, and informational graphics
Jewelry / Metals
Works that utilize a combination of materials/methods that include: metals, stones, casting, enameling, etc.
Works that utilize wet painting medium on a support including, but not limited to: paper, canvas, wood, panel, Plexiglas, etc.
Works that utilize hand-printing techniques such as intaglio, etching, lithography, silkscreen, monoprint, etc.
Works that utilize sculptural media and/or process such as clay modeling, casting, carving, installation, wood fabrication, metal fabrication, etc.
