Students majoring in Geography will earn a B.S. in Environmental/Physical Geography or a B.S. in Human Geography. Both options expose students to a broad curriculum that includes courses in both environmental/physical and human geography as well as courses in geographic techniques such as geographic information systems, remote sensing, and field-based courses. Both options are flexible and allow students freedom to follow their own interests, and at 49 credit hours allow students the opportunity to pursue minors or double-majors.

Typical Starting Positions

A majority of geographers are employed as Geographic Information Systems, Computer Mapping, Environmental Manager and Watershed Specialists, and also as Meteorologist, Urban and Regional Planner, Location Analyst, Tourism Developer and Market Researcher.
