EIU Associate's to Bachelor's in Child Care

Associate's to Bachelor's in Child Care

Nurturing children is your passion. You’re anticipating a career in child care that will fulfill that need. We know it’s important for you to have the credentials you need to be successful. Our new flexible schedule online program fits both your busy life and your passion.

You are committed to shaping strong families for the future.

Our fully online program matches key courses and programs from your community college with a series of courses at Eastern Illinois University. Our goal is to get you from your associate of art or associate of science degree, to a bachelor of arts degree in child care in as little as two years. Access and a student-friendly approach are key components of this program.

This program is an excellent fit, whether you’re a current child care profesional, or you want a bachelor’s degree but don’t have time to take traditional weekday college classes.

Upgrading your education can have an impact on your annual salary, your level of professionalism, and your personal satisfaction. Completing your bachelor’s degree may help you become eligible for a variety of credentials, including:

  • Early Childhood Professional Level IV
  • ECE Credential Level V
  • Family Specialist Credential
  • Illinois Director Credential Level II

Our faculty are committed to teaching and our classes are small. You’ll always get individualized attention and support. When you leave EIU you’ll be prepared to succeed in your field.

Eastern Illinois University is Regionally Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the School of Family and Consumer Sciences is accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Our history and our future is built on a commitment to academic excellence.

You want to change the world. We’re here to help you meet that challenge and achieve your goals. Ready? Set. Go!
