INTRODUCTION

Mrs. Schuette is pleased to join the staff at Eastern. She graduated from the University of Iowa with an honors performance degree in oboe and music education. She received her Masters of Music Education in voice from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago where she served as an instructor after graduation. She taught methods classes in woodwinds, instruction classes in flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon. She also taught methods of junior high school music. She has continuing education classes in Suzuki Methods at Interlocken and Capital University. She has post graduate hours in conducting, music technology, choral conducting, and instrumental music methods. She has served as a minister of music where she conducted choirs of all ages and instrumental groups. She has also served as a public school music teacher having taught band, orchestra, chorus, and general music.
