INTRODUCTION

Bernard Borah teaches music theory at Eastern Illinois University. He has a MA and DMA from the University of Illinois and a BA in Music Theory and Composition from Eastern Illinois University.  He has performed twice as soloist at the International Double Reed Convention and been featured as bassoon soloist performing his own Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra, in addition to the Weber concerto and several Vivaldi concerti.  He has performed numerous recording sessions for the Decca and Arabesque record labels and been a regular member of a variety of orchestras including the Sinfonia da Camera of Illinois, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony, and the Illinois Symphony.   His compositions have been performed by soloists and ensembles at EIU, the University of Illinois, and several community and church organizations.
