I was born and raised in Mascoutah, Illinois and graduated from Mascoutah High School. I have loved and competed in sports my entire life and was a member of the EIU Women's Field Hockey and Track & Field teams while earning my B.S. degree. Before teaching at EIU I was an adapted Physical Education teacher at CCAR Industries here in Charleston. I have three sons (including a set of twins), which have all graduated from high school, and three dogs, which keep me busy 24/7. I enjoy watching all sports and am a die hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Bears, and the Fighting Illini.
