My name is Thaija Evans. I am a senior journalism major here at Eastern. I am currently a student assistant for the Society of Collegiate Journalists national headquarters, the copy editor for the Warbler yearbook, and a Journalism Ambassador. I have held several positions in the different student media platforms offered in our journalism department including a reporter and designer for The Daily Eastern News. In my junior year, a research piece I wrote about media coverage of Chicago gun violence was chosen as an undergraduate research presentation. In my free time, I enjoy being a personal trainer and working out. Following graduation, I hope to attend graduate school for communications and become a publicist.  tvevans@eiu.edu
