WOMEN'S STUDIES COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

WST 2309G - WOMEN, MEN & CULTURE (Summer Session 1)
Instructor: Dr. Carol Stevens, M-F 8:00-10:00 am, Coleman 3691

What does it mean to be female? To be male? How are gender roles created? How have they varied over time and across cultures? These and other questions will be addressed. In addition, students will look at how gender is reflected in the way we communicate and the experiences we have with various social organizations and institutions.

WST 2309G is a writing intensive, general education course in the social sciences from which submissions to the Electronic Writing Portfolio can be made and which can also be applied to the cultural diversity requirement.

 

FCS 2831 WOMEN IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY(Summer Session 1)

An interdisciplinary study of the emergence of women as a viable force in contemporary society.
