Hello and welcome to Thomas Hall on the campus of Eastern Illinois University! Thomas Hall is an all male residence hall of approximately 400 students. The staff of Thomas Hall is comprised of a Resident Director, Associate Resident Director, a full-time secretary, 8 Resident Assistants, and 8 Desk Assistants.
The south tower has elevator accessibility. Thomas Hall has a 24-hour visitation policy, and our own dining service and convenience store. In our lobby there are two pool tables, one ping-pong table, a lcd television hanging on the wall, and several arcade games. The basement area offers a study room, a classroom, a large meeting room, laundry facilities, and several vending machines. Both the South and North Tower are smoke-free environments. The North tower and South tower have both been recently renovated and are sporting the wonderful new loftable furniture.
Thomas Hall is a place characterized by tradition and a history of being one of the finest places to live on campus. The Thomas Hall Council sponsors numerous programs throughout the year including bingo, intramural sports tournaments, and several programs with the women of Andrews Hall (which is connected to Thomas Hall by the Panther Dining Hall). Hall council is a place that you can get involved with programming, activities, and other residents of the hall. It meets weekly and sponsors a variety of programs and activities. Statistically speaking, Thomas Hall houses approximately 80% freshman and 20% upperclassmen.
