For On Campus Numbers... Dial the 7 digit phone number. (ex.581-1234).
For Local (Charleston and Mattoon) Numbers. Dial the 7 digit phone number. (ex.345-1234 or 234-1234)

Non-Local Calling

Calling From:	Proceed as Follows:
Within the 217 Area Code	Dial the 7 Digit Phone Number. FYI - Do not dial a "1" or the area code inside the 217 Area Code region.
Outside the 217 Area Code	Dial 1 + Area Code + 7 Digit Number.
Collect Calling or Third Number Billing (Within the 217 Area Code)	Dial 0 + 217 + 7 Digit Phone Number. Wait for the operator to answer. Give the operator the special billing instructions.
Collect Calling or Third Number Billing (Outside the 217 Area Code)	Dial 0 + Area Code + 7 Digit Phone Number. Wait for the operator to answer. Give the operator the special billing instructions.
Calling Card	Dial the toll free number on your card + follow the instructions on the back of your card.
International Dialing	Dial 011 + Country Code + City Code + Number.
Toll Free Numbers (800, 877,888)	Dial 1 + 10 Digit Number
