Dr. Liu received a Ph D degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 from Iowa State University. He holds a BS degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering from Nanchang University and a MS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University.  Dr. Liu has been with the School of Technology since 1991.  His teaching and research interests include advanced database technology, system administration, biomedical devices, quality assurance, quality management systems, and failure analysis .  He is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) of Oracle 8i Database Administrator, a registered professional engineer (PE) in the state of Illinois, a certified quality engineer (CQE) by American Society for Quality, and a Certified Senior Industrial Technologist (CSIT) by National Association of Industrial Technology.  He is currently the coordinator of graduate program in Technology, which offers Master of Science degree in Technology in the areas of computer technology, technology management, training and development and career and technical education.
