| Question:
| Are there jobs available in CTE and what is the salary? |
| Answer: |
Definitely yes! In fact, there is a shortage of teachers in Illinois and across the nation in business,
family and consumer sciences, and technology. This shortage is mostly due to the large number of teachers who are retiring.
Salaries vary depending upon the geographic location and population of the school. On an average, beginning Illinois teachers
with a bachelor’s degree earn between $25,000 and $43,000 for nine months.
