The COS Program is committed to providing scholarships and awards to recognize academic excellence and to make the COS Program affordable for working adults. Two awards are available: 1) Felstehausen-Boldrey Excellence Scholarship, and 2) Career & Organizational Studies Student Excellence Award.
The Felstehausen-Boldrey Fund was established to strengthen and support the Career and Organizational Studies Program at Eastern Illinois University in the following three areas: Student Awards, COS Faculty Development, and Program Development. In order to request funding, please write a brief proposal related to one of those areas. The criteria for each area are listed below.
Eligibility:
Current COS student, who has completed 75 total semester hours, 6 hours of which are COS courses, & a 3.0
GPA.
Availability:
Number of recipients vary. Awarded two times per year.
The Career and Organizational Studies Student Excellence Award is presented annually to a Career and Organizational Studies student demonstrating excellence in academics, leadership in learning settings, and a desire to continuously learn and grow. The recipient receives a cash award and a plaque made available by the Career and Organizational Studies alumni at an awards ceremony held each Spring on EIU's campus.
