Tau
Beta Sigma, a national honorary
band sorority, is dedicated to promoting
and serving College and University
Bands. Tau Beta Sigma was
nationally chartered at Oklahoma State
University in 1946. Wava Banes
Henry began the sorority seven years
earlier at Texas Tech University.
Thus, Texas Tech became the second
nationally affiliated chapter of Tau Beta
Sigma in May 1946. Today,
there are over 125 chapters of Tau Beta
