A 1988 Czech surrealist fantasy by Jan Švankmajer that retells "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" using live action with stop motion animation.
Introduced by Dr. Robin Murray of the EIU English Department.

The 1951 animation classic from Walt Disney studios based on Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass".

NOV. 7, 10 am - 12:30 pm
Youth Stop-Motion Animation Film Workshop |
Instructor Paul Brown will lead kids ages 11-15 through the creation of a short stop-motion animation movie using digital cameras, props, and laptop computers. No previous experience is required.
Participation in the workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, contact the Tarble Arts Center at 217-581-2787 or tarble@eiu.edu. Registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis and spaces are limited. Participants are asked to bring a digital camera, if possible.
The stop-motion animation workshop is presented in conjunction with the 2009 Embarras Valley Film Festival, and the films created will be shown as part of the festival at the Charleston Public Library’s Rotary Meeting Room on Sat., Nov. 14, at 11 am.
