It is recommended that students develop a relationship with their career advisor as early as their freshman year for all undergraduate students and in their first semester for graduate degree candidates.
Athletics
Eastern competes at the NCAA Division IAA in football and at level I in all other sports.

Student Recreation
A student recreation center serving more than 2,000 students daily features six indoor basketball/volleyball courts, a large fitness center with aerobic and body part machines and a 1/8-mile jogging track; a free-weight area; an aerobic/multi-purpose room; a dance studio and a lobby/lounge.
Campus Recreation offers intramural sport and informal recreation programs for all students regardless of skill level.
Intramural sport activities include nine team sports, 20 special events and five racquet sports.
Student Organizations
Eastern has more than 150 recognized student organizations offered on Eastern's campus.
Includes 26 fraternities and sororities through Greek Life.
Departmental clubs, student government, minority student organizations, and student programming board also offered.
Transportation
A student-funded shuttle bus, "The Panther Express," transports students to and from classes and local businesses.
Eastern also offers weekend bus service to and from the Chicago area.
