New Student Programs is responsible for providing transitional programming for new students and their families.  Specifically the office coordinates the Debut and Prowl orientation and transition programs and administering the Eastern Reads program.  The office also provides various campus visit programs and a first year leadership program called Emerging Leaders.

As the director I also serve on various campus committees that involve enrollment and marketing issues and chair not only the orientation advisory committees but also co-chair the Retention Committee.  I also currently

serve as the Student Affairs representative on the Banner Implementation Student Team that is responsible for bring-up the new business enterprise software for EIU.
