Additional Opportunities for the EIU Community:

Thursday Night Self-Defense for Women at the Campus Recreation Center:          

This class is offered every Thursday night in the Dance Studio at the Campus Recreation Center from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The course is run by the University Police Department in an effort to provide useful skills to help women feel more confident in their ability to defend themselves in dangerous situations.

Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Program:

This intensive, 12-hour self defense program is designed to teach the participants a variety of skills to avoid abduction. For more information about enrolling in the program, call or stop by the University Police Station.
