  Assistant Director of Financial Aid (Technology)

Responsibility:  The Office of Financial Aid administers programs from federal, state, institutional, and private sources of grants, scholarships, loans, student employment, and veteran educational benefits. The office also oversees a self-insured university student health insurance plan.

The Assistant Director of Financial Aid serves as the chief departmental technology officer with responsibility for maximizing financial aid business procedures and practices through the use of technology. The incumbent will be responsible for using Structured Query Language (SQL) to develop and write all rules within the Banner financial aid module. The Assistant Director will also be accountable for preparing all federal, state, and related financial aid reports.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have a record that demonstrates the application of technology in maximizing seamless business operations within an environment that emphasizes individual attention to clients. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in technology or a related area (master’s preferred), experience with SQL, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, and sound analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with Banner is strongly preferred.

Starting Date:  Approximately September 15, 2009

Salary RangeSalary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
