Student Technology Training (STT) @ EIU

Student Technology Training has been developed as a service of Gregg Technology Center (GTC) to provide EIU students technology demonstrations, training, and references that will advocate a total integrated learning experience by enhancing technology skills used to complete coursework, conduct research in labs, complete service learning activities, and achieve personal development.

In its debut semester of Fall 2009, Student Technology Training will focus on video editing. The high volume use of this medium by students and in the GTC created a demand for support in this area of technology.  In response, demonstrations and training sessions in iMovie ’09 and Final Cut Express v4 have been developed for students and are scheduled throughout the Fall 2009 semester. This training compliments the newly installed dual boot (Windows and Mac) computers, updated multimedia center equipment, and updated video cameras available for student use through the GTC.
