Levi Bulgar

Job Title: Student Body President

President Bulgar is finishing up his final semester as an undergraduate Psychology major and enjoying his final moments as Student Body President of Eastern Illinois University.  He has been a member of Student Government since the spring of 2006.  Initially he ran with former president Ryan Berger for Student Senate as a freshman and lost by a total of 35 votes.  After a semester away from the office, he decided to run again with the Student United Party.  After winning his office as a Senator he was assigned to the Housing Committee where he worked until the end of the year.  In the spring of 2006 he ran for the office of Vice President for Business Affairs and won.  One year later, he decided to run again, this time he ran for the office of Executive Vice President.  It was after two years of being on the executive board of SGA and with the support of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, that he announced his candidacy for Student Body President.  After a long and arduous campaign, the most highly contested for President in years at EIU, he was awarded the office of Student Body President of EIU.

Since then he has been working with members of the Executive Board and the Student Senate to create and implement policy to help better the life of students on Eastern Illinois University’s campus.  While his time on SGA is coming to a close, he is still working hard to accomplish all that he set out to do years ago and fulfill his promise to the Students of EIU of being the best elected official he can be.

The biggest consolation that he can receive upon leaving office is the knowledge that he has become the person that he is today because of his fraternity and the Student Government of Eastern Illinois University, and that is more than he could have ever asked for.
