The purpose of this site is to provide an easily accessible database of various research-supported or evidence-based methods and strategies that can be used to improve the school performance of students identified as “disabled” or “at-risk”. Within each topic, there are individual files which contain:
a description of the practice or program
the grade level(s) for which the practice or program is most appropriate
a “how to” implementation guide
things to consider
references and resources for further information
The site was created by pre-service special educators and their instructors at Eastern Illinois University as an outreach effort to assist busy teachers in translating research to practice.
