Welcome to the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Eastern Illinois University.  The Department offers a major in sociology (Bachelor of Arts) and minors in anthropology, criminology, and sociology.  Beyond those with explicit interest in sociology, students attending Eastern with particular interests in law enforcement, social work, gerontology, and the practice of law find the major to be very relevant.  Through our web site, we hope to provide a sense of what the Department offers, the opportunities that are available, and answer any questions that you might have.  However, if we have not, please feel free to contact me or any of the faculty.
