University Board and Student Government kick off every new academic year with back-to-school programs, starting the Thursday before Fall classes begin with Mix It Up. Friday is Up All Nite, Saturday is Quakin' The Quad and festivities end Sunday with Student Government's First Night.

Events are all free to EIU students. Each year, event themes change along with the activities offered. Themes have included Fantasy Factory and Jammin' Jamaica, Spies Like US. Activities have included a rock climbing wall, free food, raffles, bingo, comedy shows, live reptiles and amphibians, free T-shirts, etc.

University Board and Student Government works with other departments and offices on campus to make these events possible. If you are interested in helping plan these events, look into joining University Board or Student Government.
