The Department of Secondary Education and Foundations offers quality programs to prospective and practicing educators for state licenses to teach in the high schools. The faculty of the department is committed to preparing effective educators who can inform, instruct, and inspire future generations. Its programs are recognized by state and national accrediting agencies including the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Illinois State Teacher Certification Board. Post-baccalaureate students seeking a teaching license in their undergraduate majors are encouraged to apply.
